Let's start with an introduction

Hello, I'm Michael!

I am a Theater Education Major at BYU. I love taking classes at BYU and how they challenge my perception of the world.

I am an artist. I love to dance, sing, act, choreograph, direct, anything to do with the performing arts!

I am a human. I'm passionate, loving, flawed, silly, hardworking, lazy, striving for perfection, imperfect, and intelligent.

I am thrilled to bring theater to a second grade classroom. I love how powerful theater can be as a tool for learning scholarly subject and life skills. Young minds are not afraid to imagine, create, and share. This prepares children to participate in drama experiences, and I believe they will grow in many facets of their lives!

I hope that I am able to introduce theater in classroom in a way that will plant a seed of love for theater.

This experience is going to be a whirlwind of learning for both the students and for me! While I am ecstatic, I am also nervous. I do not want to fail as a teacher, but courage is continuing on despite of fear.

I look forward to sharing more of my teaching experiences with you and I hope you will enjoy what I have to share!
